Wrong air bags installed

I need help locating the correct Firestone front airbags on my 2002 36' Intrigue. The parts guys at Country Coach are providing the wrong number (FS8195). Freightliner actually installed the 8195's and they are 1/2 the height of the original. The mechanic didn't say anything and it was 500 miles later that I discovered the defect. Obviously the coach won't level on the front end. Anyone that has a 2002 DynaMax with Neway suspension may be able to help.

Thanks, David

David,
I would contact Kevin Waite, he's always found the parts I've needed.

Something doesn't sound right. If they are only 1/2 the height don't see how they could get them mounted. I would call Brian he is Kevin's chassis expert. He knows a lot about parts that have been substituted with updated models. His # is

the front height can be adjusted. maybe the tech let the height valve loose during the install and forgot to bring it back.

It would seem like the folks doing the install would notice that!

1/2 inch maybe not but 1/2 size certianly.

Correct Tony, this was the mechanics first attempt to install the bags and had no clue what he was doing or just wanted to get me out the door. Before I start bashing Freightliner in San Diego I'm waiting to see how they handle this.

Thanks Bill, I will also see if Kevin can assist tomorrow. Hopefully he knows something that Country Coach doesnt at this point. NeWay (now Holland) have part numbers but apparently no bags available according to SD Freightliner.

Just moved to Peoria Az and looking for a good service center. They are far and few between in my experience.

I certainly appreciate everyone's help but still dont have the correct Firestone number for a 2002 Dynamax/Neway assembly. The search goes on tomorrow.

This may be my ignorance but the rear bags fill the core from top to bottom. Unfortunately Freigtliner San Diego don't know any more about air springs then I do. Going into Freightliner Tollson (Phoenix) to see what they say. Thanks for the input.

No, they roll like yours. Do you have air leveling? If so, can it bring the coach up 10 inches or so as usual?

Maybe Country Coach specified a different air bag to accommodate the motorhome adaptation of the frame, especially if air leveling was added during the build. I think Freightliner's original design was for truck builds, not motorhomes. I'm certainly no expert, but the photo looks normal to me.

The airbags are specified by the suspension manufacturer.

This frame is built by county coach with off the shelf sub frames.

Should not be difficult to get the correct part number.
