We have narrowed down our search looking at 2007 Select (several choices) and a 2008 Alante. Please provide thoughts and suggestions. Also I assume the X-brace issue will come into play on either choice. Need all the help we can get dizzy from reading spec and featues.

the 2008 MIGHT have the x bracing done. the select is fancier with more features whie the alante is similar with a few less frills. i would not let the model difference sway me but instead concentrate on the best quality coach for the money. just my opinion.

Don't rely on the model year, rely on the chassis build date from Spartan and the build date by Travel Supreme. I have seen what owners/title call an '07 with an '05 front cap(rectangular head lights). Mfg. can issue new CO's and change model year in some cases if unit has not been titled. I have an early '08 with the '07 front cap (horns on top) where in the end they went to a different cap on the last '08s with the horns in the gen. area and a bulged cap in the horn area. Look at the sticker on the wall behind the driver seat and the sticker in the Elec. panel area in the back for this info. You can also get the serial # and call Spartan for more info.
