A few questions for anyone with this model:
  • Is the bathroom & bedroom accessible with all the slides in while traveling?
  • Are the washer & dryer accessible & usable while traveling?
Thanks

I do not have that model but came close to buying it. The half bath is available with the slides in and moving down the road but the full bath would not be assessable. The washer and dryer are next to the kitchen and easily assessable while traveling.

Ann n Gene, I thought this is the model you had. The 42dlq is a midbath. I don't know about the washer and dryer but the bath is accessible. I would imagine that you would have to climb over the bed to get to the washer and dryer.

Don't forget you need the sewer hose hooked up and valve open when washing.

Actually Gary, I have a 2011 and the washer and dryer are in the bathroom area so they are accessible while traveling. In the above post i got myself confused. The 2012 is somewhat different and I meant to state that. In the 12, of course the bathroom is assessable but the washer dryer are NOT, they are behind the bed in the closet. SORRY GUYS, I was thinking of one plan and writing something else. Thanks Gary, for shaking me back to reality! Gosh, bet I have the op really confused by now. I would edit the post but with software but I do not know how.

Bullheaded, why is that, the holding tank has plenty of room and the washer DOES empty into the holding tank? I have never understood why they say that in the manuals. Enquiring minds want to know. lol lol

Can't really answer that, but it says to leave the sewer open during use. Maybe if the tank is full they don't want you to get soaked from the flood when you open the door after a few hours away.

I do not know about your RV's, but mine has 2 gray water tanks, and the washer drains into the smallest of the two....quickly filling the tank and requiring the tank to be drained or it would over flow. Can really only do 1 wash cycle with the system closed a 2nd cycle will over flow the tank. So OPEN the valves is the only choice.

Question...why do laundry while driving down the road? When our washer does the spin cycle it really rocks the RV...roads can be rough enough so why add to a shaky ride. Besides one needs to run the genny to work the washer adding to fewer MPG while moving...all to have clean undies. LoL!

Bullheaded, likely the reason, it DOES work without it, we did it (driver crs kicked in) and no apparent problems.

007 on the Entegras there is only one large grey water tank so that is not an issue AND the washer and dryer are both so smooth we have to open the doors up to see if they are running, do not shake at all (unless of course you are washing or drying tennis shoes lol). We run the genny for ac during this weather anyway so the added load is certainly no problem. all just my opinion and experience.

Most likely it's a safety disclaimer for the manufacturer so that they have warned you and not responsible if it overflows. On our Allegro Bus we have a 100 gallon fresh tank and 65 gallon gray tank. We can easily get 2-3 loads with our Splendide 2100 combo washer/drier without needing to dump the tanks. However, if you start out with a gray tank that's half full already it can get close. Possibly the stackables use a bit more water as well so I can understand the disclaimer decal. But, if you know the gray tank is empty and the fresh tank is full I wouldn't have a problem running it. At least once anyway.

We had a unit that the washer did NOT dump into the grey water tank, it bypassed it and dumped directly into the sewer drain, so you HAD to have the hose hooked up and valve open to use it. That is not the case with the Anthem and its 100 gal. grey water tank, It does work fine with the sewer not hooked up.

Hi Ann n Gene:
You're talking about how big the grey tank should be, aren't you! Unfortunately, the grey tank is only 60 gals. We could really use that extra 40 gals!!
