Cab anyone tell me with certainty if the 2016 Greyhawk has a 5 speed with overdrive or a 6 speed with overdrive?

2016 Ford E450
The 2016 chassis has a new 6 speed transmission. Be sure to check the RV information to make sure it was built on a 2016 chassis. The RV manufacturers keep using the left over 2015 chassis on the 2016 models until they run out of their stock of the old chassis. The 2015 had a 5 speed transmission. The 2016 is suppose to be much better than the old one.

Greyhawk Transmission
I spoke with Jayco today regarding this exact issue and they emphatically stated that they do not have 6 speed transmissions. Never had and are not manufactured by Ford with them. 5 speed with overdrives only.
I have been questioning this for a month. We bought our 2016 Greyhawk and we thought and read on the Jayco website, that they did indeed have 6 speeds. The representative told me today that they are changing the website to reflect this. I am still puzzled!

Ford's website for 2016 E450 Cutaway shows only the 6 speed as standard equipment.
Likely as stated earlier, the coach builder is using up their 2015 stock.
on another site, it was stated that one could decipher the transmission used by way of the vin. also the PRNDL indicator is different for the five speed vs the 6 speed.

Call Ford MH they are very helpful- just give them your VIN.
Every buyer should do this because MH manufacturers do not update Fords warranty registration of your vehicle when you buy it. Until you call the only show who the basic "truck" was sold to I.E.: Jayco.

2016 Class C ID
If you look at the Ford Chassis VIN, the 10th letter is a "G" on the 2016 chassis. It is an "F" on the 2015 chassis.
In looking at other info, it looks like the 6 speed transmission is a 5 speed with the overdrive being the 6th gear. Looking at dealer pics online, it looks like the transmission link shows PRN5421.
Hope this helps.

Greyhawk Trans
Peat,
According to Jayco, you are correct, 2016 is a 5 speed with overdrive.

According to the 2016 E-Series owner's manual pages 83 and 84: The 5-speed automatic transmission gear selector looks like this: PRND321 while the 6-speed automatic transmission gear selector looks like this: PRND421. This manual is in the glovebox of every 2016 E-450. This is the easiest way to check which transmission you have.

6 speed...
Depends on the date of manufacture... We picked ours up in October of 2015, and it has a 6 speed. And WHAT a difference, quieter and better mileage!
Look at the shift indicator, if it shows 1 2 4 6, it's a six speed.
