Just saw one the other day. I liked most of what I saw. Any thoughts about this model or the Alante in general?

I was in 2 of them and I like the simplicity of the 31R. I can't speak to reviews as I haven't seen any but I like what I see in this model. Everything seems laid out well. Only thing I didn't like is the counter tops

The only thing I didn't care for was the cheap couch and dinette cushions.

wow. I know most of the manufacturers fib on the lengths (33b is really 34', for example) but a 31 at almost 35 feet? Don't know if it would change my mind but that seems extreme

That measurement is from the tip of the nose to the back of the bumper..... For us, coming from a 42' 5th Wheel, it's size is great! Just big enough. Also, in my experience the numbers don't mean much anymore.... our 42' 5th was model 365SAQ and 42' is a far cry from 36'.

So what do you think so far? I'm really leaving towards this coach. Some of the others that we were looking at were the ACE, fleetwood flair, FR3. Seems like the jayco 31r has everything we want. Not crazy about it being almost 35 feet but we will see... Any thoughts? Also trying to figure a good out the door price.

Hi Baslert:

I don't know where you're located but I believe this could be had for in the low $90k. I haven't bought one but that's what i have come up with in my research.

OK. That's good to know. If they do 90 out the door, it's a done deal. Just playing the waiting game now. I'm in no rush.

So far its been great, very happy with it. We were at $96,200 out the door (tax, fees, etc). I was happy with that..... Dealer is 30mins from home and great to deal with, this is the second RV we've bought from them.
