We will be at Neapolitan Cove RV Resort just off of Tamiami Dec.-Feb. Small, convienent, nice people, but just found out new owners hope it stays the same...great little park. Previous owner was developer at Pelican. Almost stayed there, but opted for Neop. Looked at Naples Mtr.Coach too, nice park also. Have a great winter and lookup the orphans.

Sorry to change topic a little, we going from naples to the keys. I was thinking about using tamiame trail rather than 75 to avoid tolls and traffic. Anyone have any thoughts on that?

Hi Bill
We took that trip last year but went 75, sorrry I can't help. One thing was for sure going I75 made for a really long trip cause there is NO place to even pull over til you get way into the keys. Thank God for construction in the Keys so wife and I could trade places for a bathroom break! We stayed at Boyd's in Key West.

Usually do 75 also, but old Hwy is not bad, have talked to many that use it. Just don't break down, not much service past Everglade City. Stop in Everglade City at new MotorCoach park. Last time I was by there, they had only a few coaches and looks like a nice park. Hard to avoid the tolls going to the keys.

No way would I take #41 from Naples to Miami. Narrow, two lane road which features, I'm told, the highest accident rate in the state. We took the car on it and waited in a traffic jam for 3+ hrs. due to an overturned truck somewhere along there. Too much of the wrong kind of vehicles for an out-dated road. I would NEVER take the MH over it!

I live near Ft. Myers on the west coast and go to Miami a few times a year. If I want to get there quick I take the Alley. If I just want a nice ride I take 41. It is narrow but there is so much more to see and if you take it slow you will be fine. There are a lot more accidents on the alley with people doing 90+ because it's 4 lane and very few cops. I took my MH on it last year on my way to the keys and didn't have a problem but it's not for everyone.
