I am thinking it is time to change out the fluid in my Aqua Hot unit in my 05 42 DS04. Has anyone found a good plan for draining all the lines and registers? Is there a service bulletin or any information on this?

Bob

It is not necessary to change the coolant in your Aqua-Hot. Your Aqua-Hot is a closed system and the coolant is not contaminated by engine combustion byproducts. The only recommendation that Aqua-Hot makes is to periodically check the PH of the coolant. As the coolant ages, it becomes alkaline. The coolant PH should remain between 7.5 and 9.3. There is a service bulletin on coolant from Aqua-Hot that is available. Send me a personal email and I will send it to you.

You should replace the fuel filter and nozzle on your Aqua-Hot on a periodic basis. Aqua-Hot recommends that this should be done annually to maintain optimum performance.

Also don't forget to clean the inner part of the combustion chamber, the outer combustion tube and clean the face of the photo cell.

There are step-by-step directions on how to do a complete annual service on the website listed below in the ‘files’ section. You will need to join the group to access this file.
