Yeah...a hoot for sure. I think it's just the old frugalness (is that a word?) instilled in some of us by our parents. Of course, our kids don't exhibit any of that mindset, do they? :-)

Just figuring the other day. If I take Gene's advice and spring for a new one....one that is mucho better than his, of course, LOL!, will have cost me about $ 30k a year to own this '07 Alante. But I knew that when I signed up for this lifestyle and wouldn't trade it for a stick house at this point. We only go around once, so we'd best enjoy what time we have. If there's anything left at the end, the kids can fight over it when We're gone.

No complaining here, just stating facts. We DO prefer full hookups also but really hate to go into a strange park after dark so if we drive late, we prefer to park and boondock for a few hours rest and not risk running into something in a campground in the dark. just my opinion.

Anne and Gene,

Funny you shoulkd mention having to replace a relay in the generator. We also had to have a relay replaced twice actually in our Anthem. Apparantly Onan has switched relay suppliers and the new ones (what we received) are not as reliable as the previous. We had an Onan rep install the old brand relay in ours and no more problems. Coincidence maybe but we've gone 8 weeks with no further issues after having blown 2 relays in 10 days.

Bill, yep, the guys at Southern Great Plains Cummins said they found an "old" new one in the back and thought that would fix it up. It has for over 40 hours so far so will keep my fingers crossed.

Thats the spirit I was looking for Bob, get it traded and get in the Cornerstone! lol Besides, I want the last check I write to bounce! We ARE going to enjoy what we have left on this one time around deal, the Good Lord has blessed us and we are going to enjoy it to the fullest. Best people I know or have ever met are the ones I meet on the road.
