Went tailgating this weekend and when I shut off the generator I lost power in my outlets for the basement. I still had all power upstairs but could not get power in the basement outlets. Any ideas, I though maybe a fuse but couldn't find anything.

Typically, it'll be a bath GFCI outlet that's tripped.

OK I replaced the bathroom outlet and under shore power (110) it works fine and trips like it is suppose to. As soon as I unplug and go to the inverter, it will not give power to half of the coach and basement area. Also, the trip portion will not work under the inverter. The kitchen outlet works like it is suppose to, under shore and inverter power, and trips normally. I checked the fuses in the cabinet with the circuit breakers and all are good. Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure if I am following you correctly, but I can say this. You probably don't have enough inverter power to run ALL the outlets, so the mfr. would choose to eliminate some of the outlets. The kitchen ones would be on, since they are higher priority, as would be the bath. But some of the outlets would be left off under inverter power. From what you have found, do you think this is the case?
Of course, ALL outlets would operate under shore and probably generator power.

I guess that may be the case but I was wondering if anyone else with this coach can run all of their outlets under inverter power? If so, I guess I may have an issue, but if others have the same problem I would say it is my inverter.
If anyone can check this it would the bath, drivers side, and basement outlets that aren't working under inverter power. No 110, generator, or engine power applied.

I really don't know what model coach you have. I suspect you may have a 2000 W inverter?
Mine is wired so that ALL outlets work under inverter power, but then it has TWO 2000 W inverters with 8 house batteries. So each model is different, depending on inverter size. You can find the model # on a faceplate on the inverter case.

It is a 42DL14 and Magnum 2000 watt inverter.

If you have an Intellitec EMS, you can look at your electrical panel to determine what is on the inverter. If your panel looks like the one in the link below, all the loads on the left sub-panel (6 positions) will be on inverter.
http://www.intellitec.com/PDF/5300684.100.pdf
Travel Supreme may not have used this electrical panel, but you can still tell fairly easily, if there are two separate electrical panels, one will be for the loads fed by the inverter. If there is only one load panel, chances are that all loads are supposed to be fed by the inverter.

Thanks Electricks, Slabman and Luv2go.
No I don't have that panel but I do have two electrical panels in the bath area cabinet. When I reset the bath breaker on the inverter panel the bath lights go out but it doesn't get the outlet to work.

Well after further checking I'm thinking it is not wired for power under the inverter. There is no affect when I throw the breaker to that outlet but when I throw the kitchen one, it works properly. Any reasonable way to wire this without getting in too deep?

Just a FYI...you do know the interior lighting is strictly 12V DC power, whereas the outlets are 110 V. AC. So there will be no interconnection with that panel box and the lighting...they are on fuses in a "Bussman" panel somewhere in your bath area. I suggest you locate that panel and pull a few fuses to learn about that is on what circuit.
Yes, you could re-wire the bath outlets to run on the inverter, but most people don't know enough about electrical systems to do this correctly...no offense intended, of course. If it were me, I'd be looking for a way to connect the AC feed to the bath outlets somewhere near the main A/C panel. But again, I'd take this to a competent RV technician or electrical shop that knows RV's and see what they can come up with. You'll have to understand the limitations of such a switch and will probably lose power to another one or two outlets as a result. You can only get so much "juice" out of a given-rated inverter.

Just heard from a friend with your coach model and he confirms the basement, bath and kitchen table plugs are inoperative with the inverter only. So that seems to mean it was just the way they wired it and not indicative of a problem......

I have a 42dso4 all the outlets are not wired to the inverter. On mine the bath and the basement and the ones by the table are not wired to it. I don't think you have a problem. Dave
