I have a 2007 TS Alante. I am trying to find out if both the house batteries and the chassis batteries are charged when I am plugged in. Also, I understand that I have a solar panel on the roof. What batteries does the solar panel charge? Thanks!

On our DSDP the inverter/charger charges the house batteries.

Make sure shore power has been off awhile. Take a volt meter to both battery banks and note voltage. Plug in shore power, test both again while plugged in. Coach battery(s) will show 13+ volts. If chassis battery is being charged, it will show 13+ volts also. If it's only showing 12.8 or less, it's not being charged.

Dick, on you coach, the solar panel charges the chassis batteries AND the inverter/charger also charges the coach batteries. I NEVER had the coach batteries go down until I got a bad cell. The cranking batteries were new in that coach in the late fall (about Oct15) of 2010. Think I got them at NAPA. Hope you are about ready to get it out of storage and use it. We are really enjoying our new one, we are in Texas and have been since late November.
