Crack in the Shower Floor

Thanks for helping me out last time everyone! As an older single woman who is out there full-time RVing (for the first time!) I am sure I will have many questions!!

Here's the next one:

I noticed today that my "new-to-me" Greyhawk 29KS has a small crack in the shower floor. It's about 1/2" - and I am sure I can fix it. But I am not sure if the floor is fiberglass or plastic or what. The hot and cold water knob says "Phoenix" so I looked that up but it is, of course, the shower fixture manufacturer. I can't find any info on the shower floor manufacturer to call and ask. Anyone know which it might be; and what would be the best way to fix well?

Nerina, I can't tell you for sure the best way to fix it but fiberglass or plastic, I think you will have to drill a small hole (1/16 inch bit or so) at the very end of the crack to stop it from crawling further. Goop makes some great glue/sealer that will withstand water. I would probably use Marine Goop. If you try this, rough up the surface a little to give the Goop something to which it can adhere.

Your shower is probably plastic. Some showers have an access panel underneath to get to trap. I weigh 240 lb so I put in some extra support especially around drain by wedging blocks of treated wood under shower floor. Patching the crack by drilling small holes at both ends to halt any further damage, use dremel tool to slightly "V" out crack and then use an epoxy to fill in. West Marine sells a great product for this.

Like Hatterasman said V out the cracks and use an epoxy type filler. you could probably use J-B WELD.Use sandpaper to rough up the surface before applying.I have used west marine products b4 they work good also.
