DC issues

When we turn on our coach interior lights, especially if we turn on more then 1 set, the lights will flicker, dim and then go out completely. I am not sure why, but if I unplug the TSC sensor and remote sensor to the Xantrex Freedom Remote for a minute or so the lights will come on. We have a Xantrex Freedom Combi Inverter in a 03 Travel Supreme. Any thoughts and advice welcome. Thanks Tim

When this condition happens is your inverter on or off.
Are you connected to shore power, or working off the house batteries.

Sounds like you have the light relay (solenoid) going bad. A very comment issue.
Mine is located in the basement.

Be sure House Battery disconnect is on and to check grounds, connections and battery conditions. If it is ALL the lights, then you have a main issue; if only a few, it could be a single circuit. The more information you can give us the better help we can be.

Thanks for your replies and insight! I am pretty sure the lights flicker, dim and go out both when hooked up to shore power and running off batteries, although I seldom use the lights without being connected to shore so would not swear to the above. It happens with all the lights but it seems to require more then 1 set to be on before it will shut off. We can read in bed and that doesn't seem to cause any problems but if we run as an example, the bath vanity lights and the bath room lights, off they go. Same thing with the kitchen/living room lights. Sorry I can't be more specific but we have only used the coach twice since we bought it. We are leaving for the south Dec 26 for the winter and will surely have a better handle on things by the time we get to Parker. Will post another message with my findings then. Thanks Tim

Tim, I'm betting it's your DC Power solenoid, operated by the switch at the frt. door. You can check this by simply pulling one cable off a solenoid terminal and attaching it to the other, eliminating the switching function. Then try it out and see if the flickering stops. If so, your solenoid isn't holding the connection and needs replacing. It won't hurt to run this way 'till you get a replacement.
