Glenn Troyer Resigns as Head of Entegra Coach
RV Business
Friday, September 5, 2008

Middlebury, Ind.-based Jayco Corp. today (Sept. 5) announced that Glenn Troyer has resigned as president of the company's Entegra Coach Inc. subsidiary.

In making the announcement, Derald Bontrager, Jayco president, said that Troyer indicated a desire "to take time off to pursue a number of personal interests before he moves on to the next phase of his career."

Bontrager added, "Since the inception of Entegra Coach earlier this year, Glenn has brought both strong product knowledge and a customer-based orientation to our operations. His excellent reputation in our industry is well deserved and the Jayco family wishes him well in his future endeavors."

Jayco formed Entegra Coach in April after it purchased certain assets of the former Travel Supreme Corp. Based in Wakarusa, Ind., Entegra Coach manufactures and markets luxury fifth-wheel travel trailers under the Emblem and Alanté brand names and Class A motorhomes with the Aspire, Anthem and Cornerstone nameplates.

Bontrager said that Troyer would not be replaced.

"Entegra's product offerings are well set and we will now focus on the work of building the Entegra Coach name in the marketplace," he said. "The Entegra Coach team will report to the appropriate Jayco corporate executives."

His term of service was rather brief, wasn't it?
Does anyone believe this was anything other than a good old fashioned firing?

This topic is posted in the wrong section as it has nothing to do with Travel Supreme other than a common president.

Mike,

Maybe it kinda does since Entegra is in some regards the successor brand to Travel Supreme and their initial products may well be rebranded Travel Supreme models.

Mike: I don't agree that Entegra info does not belong here. Any information that helps TS owners stay abreast of future info that can be helpful as a source to be better informed in avenues of care of our coaches can't hurt. I have no respect for Troyer but it it is possible he may do something in the future that could be advantages to TS owners. JMO Rich

Entegra Coach has had their website operating with a home page place holder now for more than a month, but no specific coach information posted so far.

Whiz, your thought could have some merit if we had an Entregra Owner's section, but we don't as yet. So where else would you suggest this be discussed?

I do not have a problem with the Troyer topic being here as he was Travel Supreme. I was confussed when I saw the title of the post and mixing brands into a single brand forum will be too confussing. The Jayco owners can petition the administration for their own forum.
I will leave this one here now that it has gone this far and we have explained it somewhat. Until then, as with others in the same boat, these topics can be discussed in the MH General and MH Problem and Soultion forums.

Mike,

Just a suggestion - since it might be difficult to justify an Entegra forum at this point as (AFAIK) the first unit hasn't hit the road, perhaps setting up an Entegra sub-forum here in the TS owners forum to separate the TS and Entegra topics might be an interim step (see the Thor owner's forum on the main page for an example). Then, if the Entegra product gains legs in the marketplace, it could be split off into a separate owner's group.

Although, as a former Jayco owner, I wouldn't mind seeing a Jayco section, I suspect you'd run into the same problem if you had one since Jayco insists that they will maintain Entegra as a unique product line with its own dealer network, etc. But who knows, this recent management change and the new reporting relationships may throw that approach into a cocked hat!! Of course, a Jayco owners forum with an Entegra subforum is another possibility.

There's hardly enough traffic in this group these days, so to split off now would only add another unused section. Better to wait 'till a few Entrgras hit the road and more people have them. This would take a few more months, at a minimum. Because Entegra is replacing Travel Supreme, I'd think we could just continue to use this section for BOTH for the time being. People who frequent here know the score, so there should be no confusion.

Bob,

I agree - I have no problem with using the TS forum for Entegra news. Mike, on the other hand, doesn't agree with that position. Since he's the moderator, I was only trying to suggest some potentially acceptable compromises.

Owner's forums are created when there are a sufficient number of owner's to sustain the forum.

We have created some owner's forums in the past that were ultimately closed because of inactivity.
