When not connected to shore power the #2 inverter overloads and shuts down. Refrigerator operates fine on shore power. Anyone have any suggestions?

Over load is bad batteries or bad inverter or appliance.
What is the rating on the inverter? Will it handle the load? What kind of inverter?
Could be a dying start capacitor on the compressor (ususally work or don't), but could be a problem. Do you smell any hint of electric over heat (usually a sweet smell with a sour finish, like bad wine)?
My best guess and first check.....Could be a bad battery or battery bank. One bad battery will take the bank down very quickly, especially with a large appliance load.
Hope this helps, I would test batteries. Do you have white powder AKA "battery mold" inside the compartment and lots of corrosion... Maybe not if recently purchased easily hidden? Are the batteries full of water? If the batteries are over 4 yrs. old, get new batteries. Bite the bullet hard...get AGM and lose the battery maintence problem.
You have an '07, don't forget to check the chassis batteries too, you don't want a bad trip...maybe you just need batteries.
The load and constant charging on shore power that the halogen lights demand is a huge drain directly through the battery system, even if on shore power and is very demanding and degrading to batteries. Turn on all of the livingroom and kitchen lights and check to see what the charging rate is before and after. This is also a clue if nothing is on and charge rate is not "0" after being on shore power for a while with no draw, then could be battery problem.
If a coach is on shore power for an extended period, batteries need to be maintained weekly at best, many overlook this.
First thing I did after buying my '08 last August was replace batteries...all 11 of them...now all AGM. Be sure to reset the chargers to AGM in the menu, and the charge capacity to 95 or 100% for the most capacity. Most are set to default 80%, as this is all a wet battery will take, more benefit for AGM as they will take 100% capacity. Wet batteries out-gas or "boil" over this level.

justaroamer,
Magnum inverter tech believes the interal board in the inverter is suspect. It did not pass his over the phone directed test of the inverter. All house batteries are only one and a half months old. I also have a problem with the passenger bedroom slide. Deploying this evening the top of the slide will not fully extend. It is in about 2 inches. Retracted and left it in. I just had the driver front slide realligned yesterday. It was a side to side problem of slightly rubbing when retracting.

Many have found it best to be on full air and not jacks when running rooms in and out. My 42' made no difference, but my 45' likes to be on air. Maybe you just need to find out what works best in your case. Just be sure you are on a flat area that is as level as possible. Glad your getting the inverter thing resolved.
