Jayco Northpoint

Considering a 2018 Jayco Northpoint (the M- 379 DBFS specifically) for full timing outside of Denver, CO. Currently in an 05 itasca suncruiser, just needing a little more room. Looking for input on current or previous owners on quality, any issues I should watch for, or anything you'd like to add.

We have a 2017 North Point and love it. We have been in it now for 2 years. We have a 43 footer with the loft/office room. We have plenty of room for the two of us and a large dog.

First, don't get the climatetrol package. It freezes inside where the fresh water line to the pump doesn't work. It froze at 28 F. I was admonished by Jayco that I should have gotten the four seasons package. I thought I did because the brochure said it good to 0 F. Similarly, when pressed they said they didn't give the customer the choice. Only between them and the dealer. Next, there will be problems from the start.o do a complete PDI. Check everything. Don't believe it when they say they checked it. We even left the lot with 50 psig tires. So, even spend the night in it. Take a shower. Watch a DVD. Run all the pipes and drains.

The North Point we had was a lemon. This is not an indictment of all North Points, but ours was not good. The primary problem was the Schwintek slide. Specifically the one which had the hide a bed and the residential refrigerator. It stuck every time we moved it out or in. Ours was a rear kitchen model and driving down the road would shake items out of the cabinets. We traded it for a Pinnacle and are much happier.
