Yep, what Hudgens said. We've had Bertha since July, 14. One stoppage. Use more water and less paper. With the black tank having a larger capacity than the grey, we have easily dry camped 4 days/nights without risk of "too" full.
It would be great if the results would be published when owners receive feedback from Jayco.

If you use a lot of tissue, my opinion is that it will build up. That's our experience to-date.

Wasn't there a discussion about this in a recent issue of motorhome magazine? I thought I read that the blank tank was replaced. I don't keep the older issues as I have been on the road most of the year but maybe someone else could check.

The problem is with the design of the holding tank and not with the way the toilet is used. Lots of water and a stick to clear the blockage compensates for the lack of common sense and remembering the simple fact that sh--t runs down hill when they built the unit.

Yes, January, 2015 Motor Home, Tech Savvy Hot Line.
(Customer name) advised Jayco & Motor Home Mag "The design of the black-water tank has a shelf over where the waste drain exits the tank. When installing the toilet, the Jayco factory cut the hole for the toilet drain over the shelf area, which makes the toilet paper and waste build up on the shelf, not flush into the tank................."
Paul Martin, Jayco customer service specialist advised Hot Line "We are working with (customer's name)'s dealer and have sent a new tank to be installed in the motorhome..........This new tank will resolve (customer name) concern with his holding tank."
It would really be great if "customer name" were to see this thread and give an update with the new tank installed.

Please advise what resolved the issue. A new, different designed tank that had no shelf?
Thanks for keeping us informed.

New tank works

The new tank is in and works well. I don't know why cause it looks to me like there still is a ledge. BUT - they had to move the toilet about 4 inches closer to the door which I don't like. Also, our dealer put the toilet in straight instead of angled like it was. Our fluffy bodies don't have the room they used to. We are going to ask the dealer to put the toilet back to the angle it used to be. However, it will still be closer to the door.

Precept toilet

Unusual for black tank to be larger than grey tank, Wonder if maybe a sink or something else drains into the black tank to maintain more fluid in the tank. previously had a 02 Harney that rear sink drained into black tank.
Makes sense.

Was wondering if any other Precept owners had any toilets issues. Thanks
I finally purchased a yard-stick to clear it.
