Jayco Seismic 4250

Well after much research we narrowed it down to two TH. One is the Jayco 4250. What are your thoughts both pro and con on this unit and Jayco in general?

What's the other one?

I've owned Jayco before - I'd say above average construction, substantially above average warranty period. Following them quite a bit, I'd say that the major complaint seems to be long repair times due to parts availability - but that's going to depend on what the repair is.

There is a Jayco specific forum (not IRV2).

Direct consumer support.

I don't know if they'll allow non-dealer repairs in the right circumstances.

I had a salesman indicate that the toy hauler floor - which is indicated as well insulated doesn't have enough structure to it - that is, that it's mostly sandwich foam, but I have some doubt as to that being true and think they may be confusing it with Jayco's other (lighter) trailers.

Expect to buy real tires for it (true of pretty much any make/model).

Check out your local dealer's reputation in regard to service - it will likely be important.

The other TH is a Grand Design Momentum 376TH. The minus is the size of the garage, but the only thing going on it will be my Road King. The other minus is no outside patio. The plus is the living quarters.

Hi, I have the same model on order. Did you end up getting the 4250 and how do you like it?

We did not get the Jayco. We went with the Grand Design 376TH.

Hmmm, I looked at those, very nice. I have two kids though (11&14) so the garage beds are a must.
