"low air" signal
We recently took our 2011 Anthem on just its second overnighter. On my way back home, the "low air" signal kept lighting up and beeping, but oddly enough, only when the pressure reading was at its maximum. Once I used the brakes enough, and the pressure reduced, did the warning turn off, only to come back on again when the pressure built back up. Anybody have any idea why this is?
Also discovered when I got home, our front passenger tire seems to almost be touching the coach's frame, the coach is sitting very low in that spot. Could it be a problem with the air bags?
Thanks.

A visit to the dealer might be a good idea..New unit? Let us know how it works out.

sounds to me like a call to Spartan should be in order. they can tell you if it is something simple or advise you to get it to a Spartan service center to let them check it out. If the Spartan center is close, that would be my first stop, likely a faulty valve or sensor. all just my opinion

Are you sure that the air bags are fully up? I Always have to hit the "all retract button" twice to get the bags to fill even though the gauge Shows full. When I hit it a second time the gauge goes down and then the bags fill. I assume it is a stuck valve but we are on a 2 month trip so I plan on waiting until we get back.

Yes, this is a new coach with less than 2k miles. Today I looked further and it really appears as if the entire coach is sitting very low. It is not really drivable as I tried to back it out and it scraped the apron of the driveway, which is relatively flat. The front tires were definitely rubbing something as I turned the wheel sharply. Looks like the dealer may need to send someone to my house. I'm going to try the "retract all" button again to see what happens, then call the dealer. Thanks all.

You are definitely not aired up. The front wheel should be 100% visible in the wheel well. Make sure the engine is running and the gauges show full. Hit the "retract all" button and Watch your front air gauge. When you hit the retract all button again, you should see that gauge drop and the bags will fill.

Thanks. After a few days of waiting, the Spartan rep. was here at 7:30 this morning. He discovered a plastic air line had been resting against the compressor, which melted the line. He's doing a temporary fix, then we are taking it up to the local Spartan authorized service center. Thanks again everyone.

my "low air" signal and Spartan Chassis recall notice
New info on my problem. Yesterday it was discovered that the melting of the air line was due to a ring/clamp that came off of part of the exhaust, which caused very hot air to leak. The authorized Spartan repairman said that due to this discovery, he wasn't sure who should wind up responsible for fixing the problems. Through the warranty company, Cummins has now become involved in our fix. They were down today, but had the wrong sized clamp, and are supposedly coming back later today.
Coincidentally, today in the mail we received a recall from Spartan regarding a "v band clamp". This is the exact cause of our problems. Funny.
