Missing-manuals questions: 29MV

Took delivery on a 2016 Greyhawk 29MV this week, was surprised by the fact that there was NO manual whatsoever for either the Jensen entertainment system OR the air conditioner. So, the following questions:

Jensen. No model information anywhere that I can readily find. Bottom of radio case says Sirius/XM Ready. There's a Sirius/XM icon on the touch screen, but it does not respond to touch - at all. CAN we get Sirius/XM, or is that a no-go?

Air conditioner. I presume there are air filters under the cover that need periodic cleaning? (I'm not comfortable just removing a cover until I know I'm supposed to!)

Suggestions on where we can get manuals for these two things - especially since I don't have a clue as to either one's model numbers?

Thanks!

Larry K

The dealer or Jayco should be able to give you a build sheet with model numbers. There is most likely a thin sponge-like filter, like in window A/C units, behind the return grid on the ceiling. The model # of the A/C might be found under the ceiling return grid or definitely under the shroud on the roof. The stereo could be popped out of the dash (with tools from any audio shop) and the model # found. If you go to an audio shop and ask them about what it takes to connect to Sirius, they will probably identify the model # and you can find the manual online.

We quickly found that the best thing for a Jensen Radio was a large hammer! After our second Jensen was replaced, we replaced it with a Kenwood, and took a hammer to the Jensen. Felt really good! :-) In my opinion, Jensen is right up there in quality with Furrion. Geesch...

As far as the AC filters, ours has to long skinny filters under the air intakes on each side of the AC. They are washable, but we bought a sheet of filter material that can be cut to size, just in case.

Oh, by the way... let your salesman get you the manuals (that's why he gets the big bucks)... they should have been in the blue zippered bag.

Update/correction

Update to my earlier post: I discovered that there was indeed a manual for the air conditioner, which I must have overlooked at least four or five times! The sales manager from the dealership contacted the factory rep and got a PDF file for the radio/etc. manual for me. It's not for quite the same radio as what was installed, but it beats nothing!

It appears that we can indeed get SiriusXM - but only with the purchase of a tuner, antenna, and installation. I'd hardly call that SiriusXM "Ready" - more like SiriusXM "Capable." Sort of reminds me of the old joke about buying a car: "You say you want a STEERING WHEEL with the car? That will be an extra $___." Oh, well, live and learn!
