There a many post concerning this topic. I have pasted one of them below. I use a basic GPS but my travels are confined to eastern VA, NC and SC and I know the roads well. One day when i venture to uncharted territory I will upgrade to a Garmin since that is what I use in both of my daily vehicles.

Good reading. (also use the Google search function and look at GPS)

Trucker type GPS

Look up the Rand McNally thread on the RVND 5510.

I have one and love it. Warns of bridges, steep hills, construction, sharp curves, winding roads, speed limit changes etc...

The now have the RVND 7710 with a 7" screen as well.

I have been using a GARMIN 465t for the last 3 years. Easily portable, connects to computer to add/delet stored info, you can route on the computer and download to the GARMIN, has the bridge heights, speed laws, warns of grades and curves, and traffic congestion ahead. Has more that I have not gotten into yet. Oh yes, has bluetooth to hookup to cell phone. Will probaly last a few more years until they come up with another to make mine obsolete.

Garmin does have out a newer version of the trucker only 465T. It is the dezl560LMT. It comes with four modes, car/RV/truck/pedestrian, so you can customize the routing to your liking, and free lifetime maps and traffic. Not the cheapest, but so far it seems like another good Garmin product.

Hi all, just wondering if any one knows what Entegra uses in thier 2012 aspire coachs for an infotainment system? I have the coach and can not find a model or make of any kind in the paper work, kind of looks like Entegra has thier own! The reason I am looking is the fact that the nav part of the system won't load properly and I am looking for a way to reboot, or maybe an upgrade for it. It loads most of the nav system but when it gets to the main screen load it seems to freeze, any others have this experiance?

DnG,
Prior to purchasing my Anthem I contacted the folks at River Park Inc. from their website with some technical questions concerning the system. They responded fairly promptly and were quite helpful. If I am not mistaken I believe they are located in ElkHart IN. If so they are close to where Entegra coach factory is.

Rand McNally has a new RV GPS that you can set your RV parameters in it. It is also has RV parks and Info. Campers World and Good Sam sell it at a good price. Dave W
