New 26 XD Redhawk

Hi all, I just got a new 26XD 2015 Redhawk. It will have to sit in the driveway until Spring. It replaced a 35ft. class A (downsized). I would like to mount a CB in the unit, but I do not want to mount Ant. to the main body. Has anyone mounted the Ant. to the ladder? No problems on how to mount CB inside the cab. Also what air pressure do you run the tires. To date I have not put the unit on a set of scales. Thanks

You might want to consider mounting your antennas to the mirrors like the Otr. cvc:+ab

How about mounting them on the side mirrors like the OTR truckers do? I'm sure there are experts on CB'S on this forum.

We downsized from a "A" with 70K miles. I guess we just wanted something new. We both drive a school bus, 40 *& 45 ft long. We found that all of the junk we had in the A was not needed, so did not need all of the storage. We still have empty space to store junk. We are not full timers and will not be. As for added items, I installed the Supper steer rear trac bar. I had one on the A and liked the way it handled on the road. I installed a CB radio and mounted the ant. on the rear ladder. We did not have any place to put out toilet items, installed a small shower storage hanger by the stool. I made a water pressure regulator with by-pass so that I would not get above 40psig. We installed a floor mat and low cost seat covers. I installed a brake controller for the car dolly. I have a windshield cover. At this point, I do plan to change the shower head to one that will shut off at the head. We have owned 2 "A's"; 1 other "C"; and 2 tag alongs. I hope to keep the Redhawk until we get off the road.
