New White Hawk 28DSBH

We've sold our Surveyor and moved on to a '16 White Hawk 28DSBH. We'll spend tomorrow night in it for the first time. So far I have done a pretty thorough PDI and found only a couple of minor things that were taken care of while we went through it. Only time will tell if this trailer is as good or better than my old one... that looked new... that I'd fixed everything on... Now I'm starting over. However, this one being a bunk model, when I'm grumbling to myself, I just look at the bunks and picture my grand kids in there laughing... all the angst goes away. I'd love to hear how others like theirs...

Hi Jack - This is my first post so if I do something wrong please tell me. I noticed that you are posting about a new trailer with the bunk beds - in your shopping did you happen to learn if any of them are able to remove the top bunk? Basically take it in & out or do they are seem to be secured & non-removable?

Congratulations on the White Hawk. We have a 2014 29REKS that we really like. The only "downside" is that the dual recliners are too comfortable! All it takes is about 10 minutes sitting in one and I'm sound asleep. We were in Mackinac a few weeks ago and were surprised to find 2 other White Hawks in the campground.

I really haven't looked for such as that. The bunks in this model are fairly large, and state a capacity of 600 pounds. That capacity is one reason I bought this trailer. The storage under the bottom bunk is another. I don't doubt that the top bunk could be removed but it might be a pretty large job to do and make it look right.

We just bought a 272 Vibe with the bunks and we love it. It's nice for the kids to have their own bed and you don't have to take it down and put it up in the morning. Happy camping

Jack,

We love ours so far. Here are some pics/mods over on the other forum, as well as my initial thoughts about the quality of the coach and little things we noticed after bringing it home from the dealer.

My one complaint was the mattress... operative word... was. We got our new Perfect Cloud mattress today and the factory mattress is already at Goodwill...
