Rear (and Side) Camera Question

Hi everyone:

2011 Greyhawk.

I have one of those lousy Magnadyne stereos that just stopped functioning with a "Telephone In" message. Tired of looking at it, but that is another thread.

Anyway, I have decided to replace it with a Pioneer stereo that I like with the features that I need.

Here's the rub. After removing the dash plate, the input line from my rear/side cameras are 13-pin male din but the camera input on the radio is an RCA style video jack. So, I was wondering if, first, if there is a din female -> RCA male cable adapter available that would relay the video to that specific RCA port... or if not, has anyone tackled this (or even made a specialty cable to handle this). Honestly, I am not even sure this is possible.

I have the pins out diagram for the 13pin din, and could probably solder one up, but not sure if I want to go that route; or if there are any gotchas in doing this.

thanks in advance.

Have you tried any local custom stereo or security equipment shops?

Can you post the pin out information you have?

Thanks S-Ohana -- yeah, actually I looked there also. Odd problem because each of the 3 5 pin dins simply can't be run into a single RC jack because each video line and triggers are separated.

That Magnadyne is NOT a good radio. Features available are nice, but man, it is problematic functionally. I think the "telephone in" signal could have been the telephone mute wire on the back shorting against the case of the radio. Not sure.

Anyhow...

All of the connections for each of the magnadyne cameras are under the drivers side kick plate under the steering wheel -- all 5 pin din connections (green Rear, white left and gray right) are there.

So, I am getting close. I have the radio and the video capabilities wired and running.

Next, I found that the 5pin-din to RCA Connectors (HAR-RCA-C)on Magnadyne's website:
https://www.magnadyne.com/catalog/pa...3490&CID=26097

I do have each working independently when I set up a straight +12V trigger separately to each camera.

Then what I found is a video mux with 3 inputs on Amazon.
Amazon.com : Intelligent Car Video Switcher 3-way Input 1-way Output for the Car Camera : Vehicle Backup Cameras : Car Electronics

Now, what I am trying to do is wire each side camera trigger to each turn signal switch for +12V (before the pulsing relay) and the reverse to the reverse wire from the ford wiring harness and let the mux do the video switch to one output for me.

In theory.. it should work

I will update the post and put a drawing of the connection if I get it working.

Thanks for the reply.
