After many months of camera problems, mine has been operating for the last two months. I cleaned all the connections, at the rear camera and at the monitor, with a spray electronic cleaner and then put di-electric grease on the connectors. I hope it's not a coincidence, but so far so good!

Al, welcome to iRV2.com. We are glad to have you join us here and we look forward to reading of your adventures and experiences. Thaks for the heads up on the camera and monitor issue and fix. Did you tape the rear cables together to prevent seperation?

Good News! Keep those fingers crossed that it works. If not, Malone is checking out another angle on solving this problem. At the Tampa show I noticed they are still using the Weldex brand. I saw some Sonys on other models on display. Wonder when they'll capitulate and go in another direction

RV Wiz...Al is our resident tinkerer. Someday he's going to find a way to make that Alante FLY!

RV Wiz, no I did not tape the connectors, because the Weldex cables have a threaded collar that holds the ends together.

Bob, I'm sure Malone will come up with a more engineered solution.

Diode to prevent backfeed on the ground behind the inlay is effective. Also saw some voyager setups on the last units and that setup was awesome.

Well, I had a few months of good rear camera operation, but it is now acting as it did before. So, I guess it was a coincidence after all.

Reply to Mr. AL_MERS if you are still having problem with the rear camera, try tighten up the connector under the bottom of the camera, I 2 was having problem with the r camera when I tighten up that connector everything seeme to work great. I notice that it kept coming loose under virbration.
