Rear View Mirror Vibrates 2016 26XD

An acquaintance of mine here in my retirement complex has a 2016 26XD--- The rear view mirror (driver's side) vibrates enough that he has to reach out and dampen it with a thumb in order to have a decent view to the rear. Jayco sent him a brand new replacement (the whole assembly....ready to bolt on) and, of course, it does the same thing.

He says it is the glass itself that vibrates, not the whole assembly and that the mirror is just mounted in the center of the glass so the top and bottom third of the mirror glass is just "hangin' out there unsupported" in the housing. The "jittering" image is worse at the top of the mirror, he tells me.

Anyone else have this problem/nuisance and; if so, do you know of a fix?

(He doesn't do computer)

Thanks for any help.......and safe travels.
