Have a 2008 Monaco Monarch 30' that has never had the roof resealed, just had a quote to remove/replace sealer for $800.00 @ CW, thoughts and how often should it be resealed in the future??? Thank you, kp

Wow, you might hire a college kid to do it if you can't DIY. Use masking tape an $1 plastic tarps to protect the RV from roof line down side. Clean with proper cleaner for EDPM roof. While wet, apply cleaner/primer. Using a roller and brush for cut in, start at front and work back to ladder. It should take less than a day and about 3 gallons of Dicor sealer.

It's hard to give exact length of time sealer will need renewing, if the dark EDOM rubber is showing through in spots, time to reseal.

You do not have a rubber roof. Ask if they are re-taping the seams.

Mike's correct, I looked up a brochure on the '08 Monarch, it has a one piece fiberglass roof. I still think it's a DIY job to caulk around openings, perhaps Eternabond tape any seams. It's customary to suggest roof inspections every 6 months. I'm surprised you've gone this long, but you are in a location known for a long drought, maybe you've been lucky or stored under shelter.

Still think $800 is robbery for a couple of tubes of self-leveling caulk and/or roll of Eternabond.
