Seneca on new Chevys?

Chevrolet has announced the return of the 4500/5500 chassis for 2019. Do you think we can see Jayco using this chassis with the Duramax/Allison again? I have an '08 Seneca 34SS that I would sure consider trading on a newer platform like that!

I couldn't guess about Jayco's plans for their Super C, but will submit that it is a big change from the past.

Just like the current Ford F450-F550, these new 4500-5500 GM trucks (keeping the Silverado badge) will not have the height of the Kodiak/Topkick of old. Outwardly, they will look very much like a typical Chevy 1 ton cab/chassis...just bigger tires/wheels.

Would Jayco go to that lower stance over the current Freightliner? Maybe - maybe not.

Only time will tell...reported to be a March 2018 launch.

I seriously doubt that the Seneca will move from the Freightliner chassis for quite a while, if ever, given that they just moved to the Freightliner S2 chassis. I also doubt that the Seneca could compete with the Dynamax Force or Renegade Valencia if on a Chevy platform.
