Hey all, This may be user error or hopefully something simple. Here is
> > my issue. Recently when I have plugged in to a 20 amp 110v. Just so I can keep the batteries topped off. The panel says that it not charging/DC off. But, When I fire up the generator. The panel tells me that it's charging. The shore power is good. I can hear the clunk of the the transfer switch. When I plug it in.

Roy;

I have to ask if you actually tested for voltage at the connection. Is your power connection hard wired to the dock? Where is your transfer switch? On the dock outlet or onboard? So, get a tester or known good device that you can plug in and be double dog sure of what you have. then let me know what you find. Also, do you have an isolator? My RV, for instance, would not chage due to a battery isolator that had gone bad. Good luck.

What is the AC input voltage at the inverter? Sounds like it could be a low voltage problem from the 20 amp receptacle.

As I recall, the inverter will not recharge the batteries if the voltage is below 10.5 volts D.C.. The generator or main engine will recharge the batteries but the shore power will not recharge the batteries if they are below 10.5 volts. You might have to apply a portable battery charger to the coach batteries to increase the voltage to at least 10.5 volts. I could be wrong but this is my recollection.

Verify that the inverter is turned on.

Ok...Voltage @ plug is 123. So volt form outlet is fine. But I changed to a different plug in the garage. Just for giggles. I heard the transfer switch go clunk just it did before. Then Went back inside to get some tools to start pulling covers off of things. When I went back out. I noticed that the light on the inverter charger was blinking. Like it was getting bolted and charging. Which it was not doing before! Went inside to check the read out on the panel. Now it's charging!?!
Do you guys think the relays or something in the transfer box may starting to go?

I will calling an electrician to get a 50 amp plug put on the house for next time.

Thank you everybody for all your help!
