Unhappy Size of tanks on 1995 Ford Jayco Designer Series

Just bought a 1995 Ford Jayco Designer Series. 29 ft. Was wondering if someone out there knows the size (Gallons) of the 3 tanks? Black, Gray, and Clean tanks. Also gas tank. Guy I bought it from told me 70 gal. gas tank, but I filled the tank at 1/4 and it took 30 gallons. Any info will be very helpful. Thanks.

I guess I wouldn't worry about capacities, just keep some fuel or water in the tanks. Black tank shouldn't be empty, keep a bit of water in it to keep things liquid and sloshing around. Water weighs 8.4 pounds per gallon, so full tanks aren't a good idea except when stationary.

Here's a link to a '95 Class C Jayco owner's manual, it's not real specific about capacities.

You could check on what Ford supplied in '95 vans, that would give idea of fuel capacity.

NADA might also have specifications, but your description wasn't exact enough to give that information.

Red face Tank sizes

I want to sanitize the tanks. I would like to be close with the gallons and bleach ratio. I did find out about the gas tank. It's 35 gallons. I have checked all the manuals and nothing.

Turn on your hose and time how long it takes to fill a 5 gallon pail. Fill tank while timing, you'll get a close enough approximation for a bleach/water ratio.

Size of tanks

That's a great idea. Never thought of that. I'm going to do that right now. Thank You.
