Slide was dropped in shop
Hi I just bought a new Jayco 2018 27.5RLTS. The fridge did not work first trip. Took back to dealer while there in shop they were also replacing my vinyl, in doing so the had to pull slides all the way out and the side with fridge, stove etc fell off the stands. I went and took pics. Service manager said it looks worse then it is and everything will be replaced no structual damage was done. I told him that I didn't know that and wanted a new trailer or money back. I now will be talking to the owner tommarrow. I'm I asking for too much???

Ouch !
This is a tough call for sure .
I don't believe you'll get to far going for money back , but a different RV may be possible.
If this is your place of purchase and a local dealer , I'd be after extended ; in house; warranty on the slide for all defects for as long as you own the RV.

Insist on an inspection by a qualified third party inspector who has no vested interest in the outcome. And an extended warranty for the slide.

In my previous life I was an RV dealer (career change 27 years ago). From my experience, give the dealer a chance. Likely they can put it back together better than it was originally constructed. Asking for a commitment from them for an extended "in-house" warranty seems reasonable to me.

Thanks for your thoughts everyone. I bought this from local dealer and I recieved a call from both the service Manager and Owner that they are ordering a new 2019 5th wheel for us. Glad to know that there are dealerships that take care of thier customers! Thank You Manteca trailer, Ca.

Who was the dealer? Think I'd travel quite a ways to do business with them.
In 2006 bought a new Honda Pilot for a toad. Had the sales manager show me in the manual that it could be towed. Three months and 4,000 miles later I heard Honda wouldn't honor the warranty if it was towed.
Called the sales manager and he checked. Called me back after checking and said Honda wouldn't honor the warranty and to return the car. Gave me every penny back with no hassle. Made me a believer for sure!

If the dealer says they have to remove the slides to put new floors in- they are taking your money- lots of it

It's a 2018 I would assume it was a warranty issue.
