I noticed a crack on the fender/fairing over the tires. This stuff is pretty thick but it broke clear through. No indication of why. Will patch it. And will need to paint the patch.
Anyone found any off the shelve paint that matches TS'x Silver/grey color.
Any suggestions on patching or the paint.
Thanks again..

Check inside one of your upper bath cabinets...on the door. There should be a sticker there indicating the Sherwin Williams paint numbers. You can take this to any decent paint store (or S-W, of course) and have it matched. I have one near me called "English Color" which does automotive colors, supplies, etc. Many of these will also do computer matching. They'll make up a touch-up container, bulk paint, or a spray can.

Take a small painted part (if available) to an auto paint store (or Napa Auto Parts)and have them match it.

I have to do the same thing as our DS front fender is broken. I have a replacement so as soon as I can figure how to take the old one off and mount the new one, I will be painting it myself. I am planning on using the air filter intake grille for the color matching even though I have the paint codes. BTW, sometimes they are in a cabinet rather than by the DS seat. Mine are in a cab. over the sink.

Call the manufacturer with you VIN and they should be able to provide you with the paint information.

If that doesn't work the folks at NAPA are excellent to work with.

I would recommend adding some type of re-enforcement to the inside of the fender to support the crack. Maybe even consider drilling a hole at the top of the crack to prevent it from spread.

Good luck with the repair.

Jim
