On the Heliotrope, it shows one connection for the solar panels, so as long as the wire size coming from the roof panel is large enough (and it should be), you can make you connections on the roof (tying into existing wires on the panel).

I guess my next question is for a recommended panel to go with the existing? As this one is 14 years old I would think the efficiency ha increased somewhat so should maybe replace this while adding a new one, No?

Once you figure out your controller and if your coach is prepped for more solar it would better determine what you should do.

I checked my wiring diagram and the solar is wired into 8 awg wire so it can carry about 40 amps. The big thing is the voltage drop for the distance.

If I had to redo mine I'd go with a higher voltage controller and panels.

According to my manual I only have a 15 amp controller and cannot add any panels without changing the controller out.
