The oil pressure guage on the dash of my Monaco Camelot with 400 ISL is not functioning. I purchased a oil pressure sending unit at cummins but can not find the location to replace it. I located what looks like an alluminum canister with two knurled knobs by the starter. On the cannister is a worn sticker that looks like it read oil and alladin on it, could that be it?
Appreciate any input. Thanks.

The oil sending unit for the dash gauge will be located close to the oil filter. It will have from 1 to 3 wires depending on type. It will have a fitting on the bottom that screws into a port near the oil filter. It will normally be round with a slight rounded top, although the shape could be different on yours.

There is an oil sending unit on the engine also but that only transmits information to the ECM and not the dash gauge. That may be what you purchased from Cummins and you should not attempt to change it. It will look nothing like what I described above.

Thanks for the info. I found the phone number for the Monaco LLC (Navistar) techs. He told me the dash guage oil pressure sending unit is on top of the engine on the drivers side next to the valve cover. He sent a picture of the part and the part number to my email.

I incorrectly stated that I spoke to a tech @ Monaco LLC previously it was the parts department.
