I had a problem with my passengers side slide out motor switch. The wires leading from the inside switch which is on the inside passengers side upper panel down to the relays which are in the passengers rear power panel have a dead short. I rewired the switch in the lower panel. The problem with that is I have to extend or retract the slide from outside. There is a short in the wires from the inner panel to the rear panel..I have begun to trace the wires from the rear panel under the coach. There appears to be a lot of wires under there.

Does anyone know how the wires get to the back...do they come down the inside passengers side panel between the door and the windshield which can be removed or ?????

I need a schematic diagram of those wires, can anyone help me?? I know shorts are very difficult to find but if I had a diagram it would make things easier..Sometimes it is easier to run new wires but hopefully someone can help me..trace these wires.

I found the wires going to the relay in the back panel by putting a ohm meter on the wires and it indicated a dead short on the small wires going to the slide relay. They get very hot when trying to move the slide from inside but after rewiring in the rear panel it works fine. Nothing heats up..

Hope someone can help me..

Ted

Ted I have the schematics for a 2005 Endeavor that may be of help. Let me know rbdtanasi at yahoo dot com and I will send them to you. They are in a PDF.

Also you can get a wire tracing device at Home Depot or Lowe's in their electrical department. It has a tone generator that sends a signal over one or two wires and you can trace the signal with the receiver. The signal will go past the short but if you have the signal applied to two wires (positive and negative lead) the tone will be louder at or near the short. When using one of these tracers, the signal will often bleed over to adjacent wires so it does take some time to develop the listening skill.
