I have a question on the operation of my dash ac/heat control system.
I've read the description in the owners manual but it doesn't seem to match what my dash control's operation allows. When the manual describes how to turn on the ac it indicates the temperature control must be in the "Blue Zone." Likewise if you want heat it must be in the "Red Zone." This appears to be referencing a standard heat/ac control panel when you have a variable knob that controls the temperature. In my case I don't have a variable knob. Instead I have two arrows. The left one is Blue, to lower the temperature and the right one is red, which raises the temperature. The temperature itself is a numerical display just above the two arrow buttons. The manual also points out for air conditioning the "temperature control" must be in the blue zone, and likewise for heat the "temperature control" must be in the red zone. Again, I don't have a "zone" per se.
When I push on the blue button the indicated temperature display does go down, and likewise goes up when I press on the red button. However, if I want cold air (air conditioning to function) it seems as though I always have to push the button until the indicated temperature displayed is all the way down to 60. If I think that's too cold, and I press the up (blue) arrow button the air conditioning will turn off and it starts blowing warm air.
Does anyone else have this same system I have? Also, is there any information out there that explains the operation more accurately based on what I have, and does anyone know who makes this system?
Any help will be appreciated.

We do.
Bottom line - it doesn't work for (well you know).
We were told when we complained after buying the coach, that you need to move the temperature up or down 5 to 10 degrees to get the temperature to change. That seems to be about what we need to do.
The way we operate ours is to select either heat or cooling with the rotary selection knob, set a fan speed (ususally pretty high) with the other knob and "set" a temperature using the up/down arrows until it starts doing what we want - either heating or cooling.
I have no idea who made the units.

I have the same system and it works just like you would expect it to. I start out with it on 60 when I first start and then adjust it up to a comfortable level once it starts to get too cold.
I live in Florida and rarely use the heat.

Thanks both of you. Just to give you a heads up if this hasn't happened, YET! In mentioning the fan speeds, if you fan speed settings stops functioning you'll probably need to replace the resistor pack. It's located on the outside of the firewall (generator bay) on top of the heater core box way up to the left as your peeking in. This is in front of the passenger area. Take a look at this link Dash A/C Fan Repair if you haven't already.
