We have a 42 foot, 07 Camalot. The fuel gauge is inoperative, shows empty. Had it Ocala Coach Care, they said, it looked like the sending unit. It looks to be on top of the tank, and easily accesable. Does anyone know , what the resistance reading, in OHMS, would be for full or empty?? I figure , if I knew the resistance figures, I can isolate the problem.

Thanks, the Muffin Man.

Do you know what type of guage you have. Is it a resistance, or other type of guage measurement. You will need to call the Monaco parts line to find out which tank/guage you have. Just give the coach S/N to parts guy, and he should be able to tell you what guage is installed in your coach. For some reason the setting around of MH's let the guage corrode/gum up.
If calling Monaco doesn't work out, You can give a company in Florida a call, "Centroid Products @ 386-423-3574. They supplied me with a new guage once I was able to identify which type of guage I had. Good luck with yours.

Thanks, Mutt. The question I have , on a Centoid sender, is , if blocked, does it read full, or empty??? Mine reads empty. Will try the Centoid site and call Monday A.M.

Thanks, the empty-reading Muffin Man.

Hopefully, you have been able to talk with someone about your Centroid Guage. There was a guy at the FL location, who I spoke with, gave me a list of questions to pursue, and asked me a lot of questions before he diagnoised the problem. Hopefully, he still works there and will be able to give you some ideas to help find the problem. Good luck.

Well, Centroid only responds to emails now. Called Monaco, they had a troubleshooting guide for the Centroid unit. Tried several tests, everything seemed OK. Now the gauge was pegged full. Trird old reliable fix, loosened all the connections, 4, and retightened, gauge now works. Will see tomorrow, after a short trip.

Oh well, I am so confused, but happy???

The Muffin Man.

As I recall....I believe I may have sent Centroid an E-mail initially, before getting a phone number to be able to talk with a Tech. One other thing I might suggest. I read where one individual took his Centroid guage out and did a thorough cleaning job on it with mineral spirits as I recall. He scrubbed the inside of the tubes(with a small fiber brush) that he could get to as well as the outside of the tubes, and reported that it started working correctly again. I didn't try this with my own guage that I replaced, so I can't speak to this procedure. But, if and when the problem does reoccur, I'm going to give it a shot.
