07 HR Imp front AC Temp sensor

Hi all, we have an 07 HR Imp 42PDQ, we have looked for the three years we have owned this coach for the temp sensor for the front AC/heat. We can find only the sensores for the center and rear AC/Heaters. If you have the same coach or sister ship and have located yours I would appreciate any information on it that you might have. I appreciate all of your help. The problem we are having is that the turn on/off temp is not where we set it. I think the sensor may need cleaning as it used to be quite accurate. Thank you for all the help and advice that you guys/gals provide.

On ours, the front temp sensor is located behind the thermostat. We too looked all over, finally had the guys at Elite RV in Harrisburg find it for us when they were doing some other work for us. It is just a wire, nothing to clean. I think that Monaco should have used a separate sensor, like the other two that we both have, and located it closer to the front. Ours is located just before the hallway to the bathroom. The bathroom sensor for the middle ac and bathroom heat is just 5 feet away. We have found we need to set it 2-3 degrees cooler and about the same warmer to get that temp up by the front seats, otherwise the rear units cool or warm it too quickly.

My 02 has the front sensor right in the plastic case. The plastic case has a bump with a slot right at the bottom and you can see the little blue Thermocouple. Our temp settings vary 6 degrees between sunshine and dark. The sensor picks up heat from the side wall and the T-stat sits in an area that does not get good air flow. I haven't found the rear sensor but it suffers the same day to night change. I'm going to place a insulated block behind the Thermostat to see if it helps. For now we just bump the temps as necessary.

Thanks for the replies Guys. Guess I'll take it apart just to confirm. That seams like a not so intellegent place to put it.

Yeah, ours is the same. At least it's not on an outside wall, and is on the livingroom side of the bathroom pocket door.

Yes it is there in the middle of the controller. Would have thought they could have come up with a better location. Two vents directly above it, that's real smart.

I had the same set up as described with the front sensor behind the thermostat. I bought a new sensor and cover, just like the ones in the BR and the toilet compartment and mounted it up front just behind the passenger seat on the wall. I then ran the wire up and into the AC ducting to get it to the front AC, where there is located a receptacle to plug it into. Now that over rides the one behind the thermostat and gives us much better control of the AC and heat for the front of the coach.

A/C temp sensor

Strange that this posting came up. Haven't seen the subject come up before and have never thought of bringing it up.

We've have the same 'problem' for along time and just kept 'bumping' up/down the temp setting to compensate for it.

Now maybe we'll have a fix. Thanks
