My DP has a PROGRESSIVE DYNAMICS rv converter charger with built-in charge wizard computer controlled charging system.When i run the generator i can hear the solenoid in the battery compartment cut on and off making the generator speed go up then down.If i unplug the charger the generator go back to normal speed.do i have a bad solenoid or something bad with the charger.I have two 6 volts and two12 volts batteries that are in good condition waiting for your replies thks.

My guess would be a shorted battery. Your charger will attempt to charge periodically, but if the current goes too high it will shut itself off. Then it tries again a short time later. That would give the symptoms you described.

Make sure the batteries have water in the cells. I'd have the house batteries load tested as well.
