Hello, All,
I disconnected my chassis battery to clean the connections, took out my alternator and have it bench tested and cleaned. In the process after all reconnected, my Aladdin now requires a Password. I looked all over for this. Any ideas as to where may I find this?

Is it the Aladdin that needs the password or could it be the Aladdin display "monitor". My monitor is a Kenwood. It does have a theft prevention security code option. If power to Kenwood is lost (i.e. as if it was removed/stolen), one would have to enter a code.
On the Aladdin try the "reset" button. It may be located in the front electrical bay/compartment or (in my coach) in the compartment above driver seat.

Mike:
It looks like it is the monitor security, but is locking everything else. It is the Flip monitor KVT-M707. I have two or three instruction manuals but none in English. The Reset switch up on the cabinet didn't do anything. Here is a pic.
I'm pretty sure that is the security screen for your Kenwood. The Aladdin is not that fancy and there is nothing like that screen in the Aladdin system.

Thank you for chiming in, but not being the original owner, how do I know what that is?
Be sure to dig through the manuals (that hopefully came with your coach). The PO may have wrote the code the Kenwood manual or similar place. Good luck

I have been looking through the documentation that came with the coach. So far I have found a page and half of listings that show all third party components with their models, and serial numbers. For example, there are five such entries for Kenwood products including this flip screen monitor. I called Kenwood Service with the hope they might help. I was told I need to send the unit in to Kenwood for unlocking it.
Meanwhile, I found an advertisement online claiming that they could provide the the unlocking code to any Kenwood product used in autos for $20 paid through PayPal. I wrote to them, but have not heard yet. If this could be true, it sure beats taking it out and sending it in to a Kenwood Service Center.
