12V ignition on source

I currently have my dash mounted Garmin and my TPMS plugged into the cigar lighter wire I would like to find a source of switched 12v in the dash so when the key is in run position both turn on, and when I park both turn off. I guess I can run a wire and fuse it from the side compartment, just trying to save some time, anyone done this, and if so what did yo connect to?, thanks Ron

First comment, what year, make and model of coach do you have? You should add that to your "signature" or state it in your posts.

Second comment, if your coach is wired like our '06 Dynasty, you may be able to accomplish what you are after by re-landing the feed to that "12V DASH" plug in the front run box, outside, under your driver's side window. If you don't have good information on what is powered and when, you can turn the key off and find out which boards are still powered. Then turn your key to "ON" or "ACCY" and find out which ones power up. It is highly likely that you will have several fuses available that are not currently in use that you could move your "12V DASH" feed to so that it would be switched.

I had the same situation and question a month ago. In my case (a 2005 Beaver Patriot) the best and easiest place to get 12V power with key in On or Acc position, is at the Accessory terminal/wire at the back of the ignition switch. It's easy to get to - at least on my coach.

There should be many sources of Ignition and/or Accessory power under the dash. I think I found about four or so when I added some stuff, and didn't look that hard either.
