I have a TPMS signal repeater that needs to be mounted below the coach (behind the water tank compartment). I am interested in a 12V tap that is ignition on/off so the repeater only works when the coach is running (that is how my SmarTire works)

Any suggestions before i get dirty under the coach ?
thanks
Jim

Well, I would say you are going to have to run a wire from up front to one of the 12 volt distribution panels where you can get ignition 12 volt on. I don't think you will find anything in the back that will work.

On my 99 Windsor there is a terminal block in rear (curb) electrical panel with yellow IGN wires you can tap into.

Great suggestion Greg.
Do you mean the fuse center on the driver's side?
thanks
Jim

I needed a repeater to pickup the toad at certain times. I used the 12 volt plug available in the toad and saved running all that wire. I just hang the antenna on the rear view mirror of the toad. Traveled from Ga. to Ca. and back twice using this method.

I thought about the repeater in the Toad
But that would be a disadvantage when i don't have the toad with me

The hard part will be finding a circuit that is on when the ignition is on. On my 2000 Diplomat I would look in the electrical 12 v panel outside below the driver. Not sure on yours. Maybe the circuit that turns off the front TV would work. You almost need a wiring diagram to find something. The other choice might be an added switch with a pilot light that you would turn on when driving.

DO you have electric steps? Without checking the install manual I believe it is the YELLOW wire that is "Ignition Interlock" (Please check your manual)

That is a wire that is already under the coach and it is live in either the "RUN" or RUN'/Accessory positions.
