Just read the 2008 thread about trouble shooting a radio with no power down to and including using a 12 inch cresent to apply a good blow to the disconnect solenoid. The radio is the only thing that's not working in the coach. Read the fuse panel in compartment on driver's size, but can't locate the radio fuse . . . if it is indeed in that area. All suggestions apprecaited. Thanks.

dmason.....Check the radio itself....Monaco often left the radio manufacturer's in line fuse in the wiring at the back of the radio.
Monaco also doubled up a lot of their fuses in bay under the driver's seat. You may have to take a meter or tester and check each fuse. They can be tested without removing them.
I think the thread you are referring to has to do with the Magnadyne radios. Most of them had power to operate the radio, just not enough to run a CD or DVD without skipping. This was caused by a bad connection where the male/female plug connect at the back of the radio.

Do you have a radio on off switch by the bed?? On mine there is one wired like a 3 way switch. Is that switch bad?? Or maybe it's "half cocked". Worth checking.

Diplomat Don & mahon1993,
Thanks for both suggestions. DD - it is a Magnadyne radio. Just got to figure how to get behind it to check for an inline fuse. mahon1993 - never thought about the switch over the bed being flipped. I'll check that first as it's the easiest.

i found a 15 amp fuse that plugs into the back of the magnadyne radio .so i guess if your radio stops working and you checked the fuse in the main fuse panel pop the radio out and check this fuse.

use the tool the radio came with or just stick something small into all four of those little holes at the same time and it should unclick out

gto19......Good photo.....I knew there was fuse back there somewhere. I tossed my Magnadyne in the first year of ownership. Mine wasn't integrated into the home entertainment system so it wasn't a big loss. It skipped all the time with CD's.
All in all, they're suppose to be a pretty good quality radio. Much better now that the problem has been resolved with the power.
Richard....You might as well pull the radio and fix the connector issue too.
