12v to 6v battery bank

Changing from 2x12v wet cell to 4x6v wet cell (series/parallel)

These will be Costco GC-2's 6v @ 225 amp hours

Heart Interface panel default is 400 amp hours and Idle Load default is 10 watts

Battery type is already set to Wet Cell

Does the Interface panel Amp Hrs or Idle Load need to need to be reset??

Thanks

Colin

No, because you are installing about 410 AH of battery.

Each of mine are 205 AH. Two in series makes 12 volts at 205 AH.

2 sets in parallel add up to 410 AH. That's close enough.

The idle load has to do with how many watts you draw before the inverter comes out of sleep mode. In sleep mode it draws less power, saving your battery.

Wet cell is any flooded acid battery that you can check the water in.

Deep cycle is a battery designed for slowly running down low and recharging many times.

A start battery is designed for lots of cranking amps for less then a minute.

The OP is buying Deep Cycle batteries.

GC2, batteries are built for electric Golf Cars.

They are inexpensive because most golf cars use 6 of them and they are mass produced.

Deep cell has no meaning in batteries. Probably came from deep cycle and wet cell being combined.
