1990 Holiday Rambler Alumilite XL Master Cylinder

Hi I am new here and to the RV community. I have a 1990 Holiday Rambler Alumi-lite XL on a Chevy chassis. I have been told it is a P30 chassis but cannot find any supporting information on the rig. I am needing a master cylinder but cannot figure out what one I would need to replace it. I would appreciate any help you can offer on this. We are trying to full time but do not really feel like trying to Fred Flintstone to stop the rig. Thanks for your help!

If it is 454 gasoline engine, then it is almost certainly a P-30/P-32 Chevy Chassis. You can still get parts since most of the bread trucks on the road still use something similar.

I bought mine from Rockauto.com . Need to make sure you get the master cylinder that goes with your brakes which I hope are disk brakes on the front and drive axles. I decided to replace master cylinder, all calibers and all hoses on mine ( 1991 Imperial 34).
Part Number Part Type Price EA Core EA Quantity Total
1991 CHEVROLET P30 7.4L V8
ACDELCO PF1218CL Oil Filter $ 4.00 $ 0.00 1 $ 4.00
ACDELCO GF652 (GF652@0103) Fuel Filter $ 8.90 $ 0.00 1 $ 8.90
BENDIX 11641 Master Cylinder $ 89.79 $ 0.00 1 $ 89.79
WAGNER TQM25046 Caliper $ 22.89 $ 10.00 1 $ 32.89
WAGNER TQM25047 Caliper $ 22.89 $ 10.00 1 $ 32.89
Shipping First Class Mail, Ground $ 33.92
Order Total $ 202.39

Hope this helps. Also, the brakes get a boost off the power steering ( hydroboost)

You can find a VIN code guide and use the VIN to see if it is a P-30. If the second character is a G and the fifth is a P, then this is a GM Chevy forward control Chassis or P-32/30

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

I'm far from being a mechanic so can't help with that!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Thanks for the info. I need to crawl under the rv and check for rear disc. I am unsure which it has but I am hoping they are disc.

The VIN checks out as a P-30 which is good to know. Previous owner has a chassis manual they included but they crossed out the P-30 on the cover and had P-28 which I couldn't find diddly on. So I am hoping this puts me back in business asap.

It would have disc on the drive axle and drum on the tag axle, if you do have the disc brakes, then it is likely the JF( option.
