1993 Chassis Comparison

Hi. I'm new to the siite but not new to RV'ing. This is my first post and I have many questions.

I'm in the market for an older RV and have narrowed my search to an older Beaver.

I'm looking at Contessa's and Patriot's. The 1993 models seem to be best suited to my budget.

1993 Contessa's were apparently built on the Gillig Chassis and the Patriot was then built on a Spartan Chassis.

I'm looking for any opinions and/or advice you can throw my way.

Although the hierarchy of the Beaver would have the Patriot selling new for more than the Contessa, it doesn't appear that way in NADA. I'm wondering if the chassis has anything to do with this?

Are both chassis's similar or does one outshine the other?

I see that the generator in the Patriot was not an Onan but it was in the Contessa.

If you had your pick between the 1993 Contessa and 1993 Patriot which would you choose and why?
