1994 HR Imperial 36W - Pros and Cons

Hi All - Am currently considering the purchase of a 1994 Holiday Rambler Imperial 36W. Does anyone have any experience or knowlege of this model? Wondering what the CCC might be, whether the quality is good, bad or indifferent, whether it is suitable for full-timing, any downfalls, any upsides? This coach is for sale at PPL Motorhomes for a very reasonable price and has 114K miles. Any feedback regarding PPL would also be appreciated. Thanks much for any info.
Regards,
Carol in chilly Apache Junction AZ.

I went to the PPL site and looked at the coach. It is the same era as ours, and looks to be in about the same condition as ours was when we bought it.

I notice you are considering full timing with this, so you may be facing the same decisions we did. The paint on ours wouldn't clean up and look satisfactory, so we repainted the outside. The inside walls were very dated, so we repainted them. The furniture was worn, as were the carpet and tile, so we replaced all that. New curtains, new TVs, etc. In the end, we have a very modern looking coach that we are very happy with. You have to decide if you'll be happy with this coach in its present condition, or whether you will want to renovate it to your standards.

There are other important issues, like age of tires, maintenance records of power train, etc.

Once you determine the costs of making the coach what you need it to be, and add that to the purchase cost that's being asked, then you'll know if it's the coach you want to buy.
