I have a 1994 Monaco Signatue Crown Royal 40 foot with an ISC 8.3 cummins engine. I have a 12 pin engine diagnostic plug under the dash and it is OBDI plug. The are pins A thru M. I have 4 wires to the 12 pin plug. Does anyone know what each wire is for. A i think is ground and 1 should be 160 baud and 1 should be 8192 baud. My wires ar connected to pins A,H, J, and K. Most 12 pin plugs use A,B,E, and M. I want to hook up to computor to monitor the ECM. If anyone knows please advise

My engine is described as a C8.3 rather than an ISC 8.3 in the paperwork I have.

Transmission is Allison 6-Speed.

Mine is probably the same coach as yours. I guess it is a C8.3 and mine has a 6 speed Allison also. I want to try to convert the diagnostic plug so I can hookup an OBDII scan gauge for different readouts from the engine computor. I would be willing to pay for a set of prints if you could email them My email is dickrjs39@comcast.net

Hey guys,

Cummins didn't have an electronic C8.3 till 1998. You may have an Allison New World transmission with a data link port, but if you look at the Cummins, it should still have an inline fuel pump. And further more, without engineering information to back it up, OBD is an automotive communication standard and HD vehicles/engines are not compatible. Sorry, but you can't scan anything non automotive with an OBD scan tool.

Right. My engine is all mechanical, so no information to scan.

I did look through the circuit diagrams last night, and the connector did not jump out at me.
