1996 Aquahot 431/12 blowing burnt antifreeze

So I noticed a leak dripping from the outside of exhaust as it exits under my coach. Exhaust was completely clear at that time. Just today, the leak stopped dripping on the outside and now the exhaust is white and smells exactly like burning antifreeze in the exhaust. No water leaks at all. Definitely antifreeze. Leak is not from any fittings exterior to combustion chamber. I have not pulled the combustion motor yet. I can use the electric heating element and do not notice anymore dripping.

Is there a seal between the combustion chamber and holding tank that can go bad?

Is it common for a crack between the combustion chamber and holding tank to occur?

I'm pretty sure I have the old version that has the copper pipes wrapped around the chamber, not inside.

Why does this happen when in NY for two more weeks and I can't work on it easily.....whatever will be will be.

Any ideas?

Mine did the same thing and it was an internal leak of anti freeze into the combustion section. Not good as the unit will have to be removed to fix or replace.
