1998-LP Gas heat???

I see heat pumps mentioned, even in an older 1998 model. Do these models such as 1993-1998 MOnaco Dynastys, permit heat with out 120 Volt power? Such as lp furnace with 12 volt fan??? It may be a deal breaker if one has to have 120 volts for heat. Thankd

A heat pump is an A/C unit with a reversing valve. You would need 120 volts to run the A/C. But I don't think you would have an LP furnace and a heat pump together.

Those era dynasty's will have a separate LP furnace and the fans on the furnace run from your battery 12 volt. Also for the other poster, most coaches with a heat pump option from their AC will also have another form of heat that can work from 12 volt. It will be a propane heater with a 12 volt fan or an upgraded hydronic heater that works on electric, diesel, or some rare newest models on propane. The fans from these units run on 12 volt.

Glad to hear there are still LP furnaces in this era of MHs and that Monaco is included. Don't want to have to run the generator for heat when deer hunting in the boondocks.
