1999 Beaver Contessa coolant leak

For the folks that have a Magnum chassis coupled with a CAT 3126B vintage 1999...
First cold snap of the year in Atlanta and I noticed a drip drip drip coming off the transmission pan. It was obviously coolant leaking from above. To fix the problem, I had to first cut and remove a section of floor under the left side bed drawer to gain access to two (2) coolant Tees, nestled on top of the left frame rail and the aftmost crossmember. Also had to do lots of wire bundle moving and had to drop the exhaust system from the turbo back (downpipe and muffler). Simply had to tighten the hose clamps, as the hoses had shrunk over time. Tees are plastic and appear to be durable and of quality. Didn't have the time to upgrade to alloy Tees.
The coach is great but I have no idea what possessed Beaver to locate a coolant Tee in a non-accessible location. I'm 99% sure the two Tees are only used in coaches that have the Hurricane hydronic heating system.

I have a 1999 Beaver Contessa as well and the same thing happened to me this fall, I had both tees replaced with new alloy tees. I don't have hydronic heat and they were still plastic. I had Caterpillar change mine while they were doing a coolant flush and replace for me.

I would like to interview the person that changed your tees. There was no way to access my tees from below...not even close.

TSchmelt, I think the gentlemens name that actually changed them was Brian at Butler Cat in Rapid City, SD, I know he told me that it was not an easy project and very hard to get to them, it took longer to get the alloy tee's than it did to change them out. I couldn't tell you exactly how he did it but I know he said he was really glad he was skinny, lol.
